Concerns over the speed and volume of traffic along this road have regularly been raised and it was identified as a hotspot at a recent round table meeting with Lee Barron, MP and Ward Councillors Simon Fairhall and Helen Harrison, after a Parish Council meeting. It was stated that a review still needs to take place along the New Road/Newtown stretch of Stamford Road.
A resident, Marion Cutforth, has recently set up a petition for the speed limit to be reviewed and over 250 signatures have been obtained already. Please see Marion or ask to see the petition in the Post Office if you wish to sign it. There will be other opportunities soon to sign it via a QR code. There is also a road safety priorities survey you can complete for Northants Council.

Volunteer Allotment Manager
There is a vacant position for an allotment manager, working for and with the Parish Clerk, to co-ordinate management of the plots, by meeting new tenants, helping with collection of rent, reporting any issues, checking the site and plots and feeding back. If you are interested in this position, full details can be obtained from me - details below.
Football returns!
The Parish Council has reviewed and agreed the terms of hire of the playing field and pavilion for the merged football team, Wittering Premiair with Ketton, forming Ketton Sports Football Club. They will start this season again, with a renewed team, management and backing from a well established, busy club. They will be playing adult matches and U11s and U12s junior matches with only one pitch used at once and only one on a Saturday, leaving room for residents to play too if they wish. They have also agreed that junior players from Easton can join for half price. We look forward to seeing football restarting.
Resident reporting
Residents should report any Highways issues eg verges, trees or potholes to North Northants Council via www.fixmystreet.com.
If you experience an issue with parking, abandoned cars etc, please see options and advice from North Northants Council here;
