A huge thank you to all those who kindly donated towards the “Old Cadger” fund. This will allow us to commission the works to automate both the clock and its chime and to renovate the clock face. 

The Trustees have been truly humbled by how much affection is held for this lovely village heritage icon. We have had many donations from both villagers and former villagers.

Of particular note is a very generous donation from N J Froment & Co Ltd/Avtron Power who have a long established engineering company in the village on Cliffe Road. We are very grateful to them. It seems very fitting that a modern engineering company has kindly contributed a wonderful donation towards an example of lovely Victorian engineering to help secure its future! 

The automation works will be in hand shortly with the renovation of the clockface planned to take place later in the Spring when the weather is a little drier and warmer.
