Emergency First Aid training - including defibrillators

The Parish Council is organising St John's Ambulance to carry out some refresher first aid training for residents, which will include using a defibrillator.  They just ask for a donation on the night - the Parish Council has agreed to donate £50.  It will be held in the village hall on Wednesday 15th April 2026 at 7pm, for approx. 1.5 hours. All welcome.

Woodland Area Nature Recovery

The Woodland area off the main play area has had stage 2 of work from the Parish Council Nature Recovery plan completed recently.  This will result in more areas for wildlife to live, more plants to develop and thrive, more birds to visit and bio-diversity overall to increase. More is planned soon and updates will be shared on the council and village Facebook pages.

New streetlights

The Parish Council secured an energy grant from North Northamptonshire via a national scheme and the remaining 19 old 36w streetlights were recently changed to LED, which will use up to 50% less energy and reduce the council's bills, carbon emissions and last longer with lower maintenance costs.

Grounds Maintenance Contractor

The Parish Council is seeking a new contractor to maintain the playing fields, play areas and pavilion. (The grass cutting is with a separate contractor which has not changed.)  This contract is for doing regular, weekly safety checking of gym and play equipment, health and safety checks in the pavilion, emptying bins and doing some minor repairs of equipment and other council assets.

Cricket Season 

The Parish Council welcomes Adidda Cricket Club starting back at the playing field shortly and looks forward to seeing cricket being played on some long, summer evenings...

Fixtures will be shared on the playing field Facebook page.  

Annual Parish Meeting date

The annual meeting for residents is being held on the evening of Monday 27th April 2026, 6.30 for 7pm in the village hall - more details will be published on the website.  This is a chance for parishioners to meet the Councillors, hear updates from the council and other village groups and raise any concerns.  The results of the recent resident survey will be available and presented for feedback and action plans.  Please do attend and take the opportunity to hear from and feedback to your local council.

The next normal Parish Council meeting is on Monday 13th April 2026 at 7pm.
